It can be speaker dependent. Katana Head> Greenbacks or EVH 4x12 is wonderful. I use it in my Mesa 2x12 OS vertical and like it a lot as my light C rig. I use it for guitar lessons as I can just pick up the head and go with its internal tiny speaker in that setting.

It can sound harsh in a Marshall slant cab.
