Thanks Mike. I gotta change a couple things. After listening to it several times, I'm not really happy with everything. That's the beauty of having your own studio...it's free to make as many corrections as you want!

Sounds like you hacked the Eleven Rack with Axe FX firmware haha. Actually, my first impression was you were sending a Triple Rectifier out to two 4x12s and micing them. I really like it, everything is so round/punchy/clear. Drum machine is obvious but I really loved the timing, took me for a ride where I wanted more. Just got Sonar 8 and it would love to play with that drum track, it's got some amazing drum channel effects I don't know how they do it. Pretty breathtaking piece.

Thanks TLTD. Actually, I don't use a drum machine. I use Beta Monkey Drum Loops "Double Bass Mania" series.. They're the best loops on the market in my opinion. Drum machines don't sound real enough for me. I'm loving this 11R. I don't jam as much as most people do most likely. Kids and work keep me real busy. But when I do, I love to write intense music pieces.

Hey Cline....Can you tell me a little bit about why you lone these Beta Monkey Drum loops so much? I've pretty good luck w/ the basic Pro-Tools LE drum loops, but I want to upgrade & get better sonding drums on my songs & more choices for transitions and intros......I just looked at the sight & they are pretty cheap as far as price goes.......Your thoughs?

Sure...it's an easy answer. Listen to the sound of them. They are actual real kits recorded and for any genre of music. A lot of drum loops sound fake and cost even more than what I'm paying for mine. And I think the ease of use is why I choose these over others. I didn't even know Pro Tools had drum loops...lol. Besides, I don't use my Pro Tools to record. I still use my Roland VS2400.

Yes they do. Up to 300 BPM. My fastest song is 240 BMP. 300 is just too insane and frankly not enjoyable to play...lol.

I actually liked some of the Yamaha power kits on the drum machines, was hard to tell if you had a newer dm or what, sounds cool. I always found it easier to experiment with dms and throw something over than set up the entire session for the changes, etc. Checking out Beta Monkey Drum loops now.
