Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting this midi controller. http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/effects/midimoose.html

Has anyone here tried this one with the 11r?
Also, is it possible to use phantom power with the 11r and this controller? What cable do i need for this?

thanks!

Not sure about the phantom power, but I'm using it and it works great.

I know I'm replying to a 5 year old post... but I just ordered a Midi Moose and I'm looking forward to trying it out with my 11R.

I have the Midi Mongoose and really like it. Smaller/lighter than Midi Moose and 2 expression pedal input.
Phantom power is by using a 7-pin midi cable. Since 11R is 5-pin midi input you need a cable a 5 to 7 pin midi cable like the Rocktron (http://www.rocktron.com/rocktron-midi-cable-5-to-7-pin.html)

I personally use a 9V battery instead of phantom power when not playing at home. Patch number is showing for only 5 seconds but there's a led on top of each footswitch which is enough for me.

I've just got my Midi Moose and it works fine... it does what I needed to do which was easy access to switching presets and it does it for much cheaper than any other options. However there are a few down sides I can see in that you are limited to 128 presets, so if you just use the 104 user presets, you're fine... but you only have access to those and the first 24 "Eleven Rack Presets" with the Midi Moose, as you can't access the last 80 of the stock presets. That being said... who needs instant access to more than 128 presets at one time?
