Now that I've figured out I need a power amp for the 11R, can I get some good suggestions on one or maybe someone has one they would like to sell. I'm looking for nothing fancy, just one powerful enough to run a custom made 2x12, that I will use to jam with some friends occasionally, but mostly just jam at the house. A mid-level amp, solid and dependable, guessing 50 watts? thanks so much again!

EV zlx-12p powered 12" PA speaker sounds great, definitely what I'd pick for a practice setting. This is what my band uses for practices.

For just power amps, QSC, Crown, Yamaha make great rack power amps.

For tube Power amps (more expensive), I have had good results with peavey classic 50/50, Mesa makes one too.

Or you could try a bass head, they usually have tone shaping onboard, which might be good. Back in the day I used a Carvin RedLine R600 as the amp for my Digitech 2101 preamp..

I haven't used it but I've heard great things about the Crate PowerBlock..

Also, 50 watts gets loud for tube guitar heads, not so loud for full-range audio (which is what you should consider the output of the 11R to be). Depending on the manufacturer, I'd be looking for a rating of 150-600w RMS at 4 ohms to compete with a drummer..

But, really, if I were you I would be using that splawn head on clean channel with the master turned down.. No need to buy new gear..
