Hi guys, I have a new amp, this is a blackstar ht stage 100 and I want to use its power stage with the eleven rack, that amp head is connected to a 2x12 mesa boogie cabinet, I connected the guitar to the eleven rack guitar input, then, the output to amp (1 left) to the return input of the back on my amp head, and that should do the work, but no sounds coming from anywhere, I might be passing something but not sure what, any idea guys?
Thanks!

Do you hear anything if you plug some headphones into the headphone out of the 11r? Does it make sound if you run a cable from the xlr into the guitar amp (if you have an xlr to 1/4" adapter)?

Hi Downrazor11, thanks for your reply, yes, checking as you suggested with headphones and it does work, I mean, I can listen everything there, didn't check with the XLR to 1/4 cable but I assume is going to work as well, the thing is, why it sounds with the headphones and not with my setup? You think it is something faulty at any point on my rig?
Thanks so much!!

Thank you, and yes, that's what I'm doing, I'm not sure if there's something else I should be doing in the settings on the 11R? heres a few pics: Thanks a lot for the help guys! Arturo You've got to check the value of the "output to amp 1" parameter. If you want to send to the amp the entire rig minus the cab the right value is "rig out no cab".

Hi there Ichil, good morning, thanks for the reply, ok, let's check:
1. Guitar and amp only: there's sound? Yes, actually, I have a few analog pedals running thru the loop of the amp and that works great, so, it's not the amp with a faulty return jack input or something.
2. Standby is off on the amp? Yes, the way it should be
3. Did you try a mono patch? 4. The effects loop of the amp is at -10dbV? 5. You can get signal out of the emulated output?
Those last 3, do you mind to guide me on that? I mean, I don't know how to try a mono amp or how to get a signal out of the emulated output.
Thanks so much!

This is worth a try, plug a 1/4" TS into the send side of the amp (it doesn't have to connect to anything), the amp may have a switch that is activates the return path only after sending something.. at least one amp I played in the last 10 years was like that..

I would also plug direst into the effects loop of the amp with your guitar, or some device to see if audio is traveling through this return input. You could test it with your thumb on the end of the cable, boost the level with a drive pedal to at least match the front of your gutar amps input volume at about 1/2 volume. I quit going into my return and use the front input to utilize changing the eq on the fly. I found reducing the mids and treble to 2 on the dial and bass at 5 and it flattend out the eq to match the tone of the guitar straight into the return. My method, works for me. All of my patches use the cab sim. live, I do not have any pretty sounds This is what it sounds like from a studio environment (could not embed the soundcloud link)....but this eleven rack is hard to give up there is so much in there. I have not been switching patches for over a year now, I just go up and down on the guitar volume to change tones. Hope you find a solution!

I found this answer on another forum, it seems you need to have something plugged into the input of the amp to get an output, even if you are only sending that signal in through the effects return: Eureka! I found the solution!
Plug the TS in the "Input" of the amp, not the "send" of the loop and it works!
Thanks guys for your help Found it here: https://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/index....HT-40-no-sound/

Can I also suggest taking the outputs from the 11 rack to a powered monitor or another amp/speaker combination (if you have access to either)? This will help determine if the issue is 11 Rack out put or at the Blackstar amp input.

Well, actually I have a set of pedals attached to the send/return portion of the amp and works wonderfully, so I think is not the amp but something in the 11R settings.

This will help determine if the issue is 11 Rack out put or at the Blackstar amp input. Well, I don't have any powered monitors, but I have this behringer amp that has a pair of slave jack inputs (http://c1.zzounds.com/media/fit,2018by3200/quality,85/GMX210_back-081883d6e6101a3327512a80949d65ad.jpg) if you see that picture, it is at your right, 2 slave in inputs, I connected the output 1 there and worked, then output 2 and worked, so not sure what's going on.

Yes, try this! 1. Plug the 11r 'out to amp 1' into the 'return' of the HT100 2. put ANY 1/4" TS plug (not connected to anything else) in the input of the HT100 At this point you should be able to hear your 11r through only the power section of the HT100. Let us know if it works!!

No. That's not the right screen. It is starting to get frustrating trying to help, and I realize english may not be your first language, but you are not carefully reading the things people are writing, you aren't getting the intended meaning. This is the screen Brindle is talking about: You get to that page by backing out to the main display and just pressing the 'SW 1' button until it shows up. Anyways, I think my post above will solve your problem (plug empty TS cable in to amp input while 11r is in fx loop return), please let me know if it does or doesn't. I am still willing to help.

My 11 r must be different.....I can turn on my unit and push the Sw 1 button until a screen shows with Four output values.... I am curious to the amp out, not amp 1 or amp2 as they are at 0.0 and should be passing a signal. Set those at 6 and set your amp out at 6. Amp output shows up at a few places. OK.... arturocivit that is the wrong screnn shot above. That is fromm the end of Rig View. You need the Outputs mode with four outputs. Just trying to throw something at ya to posibly get some sound out of this. Thanks Downrazor 11 for the screen shot.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is an impedance matching issue, the amp out signal is a instrument level output. Did you try pressing the level button on the HT Stage 110? (next to the effects loop send)

You know, I'm really sorry about this, my intention is not to be such a pain in the ass, it's not that I'm dumb or something, I'm just finding my way with the 11R, anyway, thanks for your help and everybody who helped me on this. This is the screen Brindle is talking about: You get to that page by backing out to the main display and just pressing the 'SW 1' button until it shows up. Got it, here's mine. Yes, that did it, thank you for this, I just used an adaptor like the one yo suggested and works, seems like the frontal controls are active but I can make everything plain and work with the 11R, again, thanks for your help and your time.
