I know this is a simple answer, I read the "How To Use the Eleven Rack Output to Amp for Recording". Yet all I get is a clean tone. When I switch to distortion it records clean. What am I doing wrong? I'm using a Scarlett interface.

I assume that you're using the output to amp1. In the corresponding menu what's the value of the signal parameter? To output the full rig it needs to be "rig output" (in the manual page 90 and 91).
