Guys, if this has been answered before, my apologies. I'm using PT 10.3.9 and the 11R editor. When I try to open certain patches, it crashes my entire session and a reboot is necessary. I know that it's not the patches, because others are using them, and I've actually used a few of them before. However, it seems like once the 11R crashes with that patch, there's no using it again. Have any of you experienced a similar issue? If so, what's the workaround? I've tried renaming, deleting and adding again to my folder, and re-downloading certain patches. I load almost all of my patches from folders on my computer.

Sounds like you have a computer conflict going on. You say the 11R crashes or is it the computer crashing? Widows or MAC? You may need to do a refresh install on PT's, see if it can detect a problem on what you have installed.

It's Win 7 Pro. It only happens with the 11R, and only with certain patches.
