Has anyone with 'El Capitan' tried it out yet? Does the 11R have any issues in El Capitan?

I know... I keep waiting for the gotcha there's a bug thing.. lol..

Yup. A little over 4 hours now on OSX10.11.2, ProTools 12.4 and 11R driver 1.2.8

No issues with the sessions, or with the editor.

This all great info & thanks very much for it too.

But.......Is there any fix for running Pro-Tools 8 LE & El Captain w/ the 11-Rack yet?

& or.......Will they ever fix this?

now ...see... X...dammit... I gotta go find out which freaking version I'm running.. I know I did an upgrade.. but to what I can't even remember now.. lol... time to find a box or a product code or sum thin'..lol

okay.. so like I'm running.. PT 11.3.1 ... and running it on..
2.3 GHz intel Corei5.. (2011 Mac Book Pro.. don't judge ..lol.. I got two in college.. one in school.. two of which are girls .. both the youngest of course.. and a freakin' mortgage.. oh yeah and I married a club owner with a degree in PR.. which is like kryptonite to a musician ).. any ways.. am I good to go on updating? .. yes.. outside of guitar.. I'm a moron.

I NEVER judge. Avid has stated that ProToola 11.3.2 was the last version so they will not do any ElCapitan testing or support further OSX versions of ProTools 11.

That said, I have seen some that have upgraded to ElCapitan and run PT 11.3.2 smoothly.

I'm always leery of risking my main studio setup on something that is not supported. If you can, create a new partition and load that up with ElCapo and give it a whirl. You can always go back to your previous boot partition if it doesn't work.

I can't tell you more than that, my friend. I haven't run 11.3.2 on ElCapo so I don't know first hand.

In a word, NOPE. Sorry.

According to Avid, ProTools 12 is the only officially supported version that will run on ElCapo. I've seen some running 11.3.2 smoothly, but it is not supported and have no first hand knowledge of how well.

THANX BOB! I will not be trying that update right now.. I won't risk it... now.. when I see a plethora of others going.. oh yeah.. tried it mon.. no worries... lol.. then I'll try it.

when did you upgrade to pt 11? if you did it during the last 3 months of 2014 then you should have the free upgrade to 12 as well... do you have the "avid application manager" installed? (can't remember if that came with pt 11 or if it just came out with pt12) I imagine that pt13 will be out after march 16th this year because that is when that promo that was free upgrade offer expires.

I ran the check for updates thing.. after I opened protools under the help tab and it said everything was up to date.. when I click on the about ProTools thing is where I got the info about my version I'm running.. that little window with the scrolling movie style credits... is there a different path for other updates?.. I'm using the macbook pro w the info from above and 11R with an iLok.
