Yeah you do. You have to purchase it from Avid or an Avid authorized reseller.

I am a little bit afraid of buying it. I spend one month to install higher firmware. There where a lot of errors and mistakes. And nobody, Avid support, or user were not able to help me.
If I buy something and will be not able to install it, it is waste of money.

Check the requirements on the expansion pack page. If your firmware is identical to the one demanded or newer, it's dead-easy.

I have 1.0.3 version. I would like to have Expansion pack. My question is:

Is the link the right Expansion pack (crack)? (I dont have mac, I am not able to try it). If it is, do I Need some extra "code" to this one?

Why I ask? I went from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 ONE MONTH. I wrote to AVID many times (without answers). I tried it on 5 PC (3x Windows XP, 1x Windows 7, 1x Windows 8). It was my nightmare.
On the end I was succesfull.

But If there will be the same Problem with Installation of Expansion pack, I would like to avoid this nightmare and dont install it.

This is the reasson why I would like to try some crack.

If Avid will be serious and help me before, I dont have Problem to byu it. But I bought their product and they DONT HELP me with their shit Software.

What I Said. The Sound of 11R is very nice, but the things arround (Drivers, Softwares, firmwares.. AVID Support) is Piece of shit.

I don't think a cracked exp pack will work. Each exp pack gets tied to the serial of the 11R so it is very unlikely to work. Did you contact Benoni on the DUC forum? He might be able to bring you into direct contact with AVID support.

Just buy the real thing, it is worth it in my opinion.

You eventually got the other upgrade installed. I understand it was difficult. Did you learn something or make a system change to get it to finally work? Or was it sheer luck and trying over and over? My guess is whatever worked there will work with the other update as well.

And Markus is correct, the best forum for technical support is DUC. They do have support employees chime in to help solve issues.

Dude the first post I made a suggestion and it contained your solution to the firmware update problem, but you didn't try it till the end... I am not trying to sound like a jerk here but I also pointed out "if you buy the ERXP from Avid they will give you support" you bought your 11r used second hand. Did you ever sign up at Avid and make an account and try to register it??? or go on the DUC? You are probably pissed at me by now but I am just trying to help.

If you get it from Avid and they don't help you I will do a "join.me or a showmypc.com session and help you myself...

Man, the people here have tried to help you sooooo much, I think it is time you bite the bullet and BUY IT FROM AVID, that way you can have access to their tech support and get your eleven rack up to speed. IT REALLY IS WORTH IT!

Ok, I will try to buy directly from Avid (I mean Expansion pack) (dowload Version) and try it.

Is it better on Windows 7, or Windows 8. I heard about some Problem with Explorer 9. Is there any Problem with higher Version of Explorer, or only with EX 9?

Well I hope you get your 11R up to speed, it has potential to be the last tool you'll need to get pro tones and tracks, the expansion pack adds a lot... Can't help on the widows version thing or the explorer, I'm on a mac (os10.9) and it has been great with that.

I ordered, payed and downloaded 11R expansion pack. They didnt need my serial number. And I dowloaded an .exe file. I think it is not tied to serial number. I dont know. But I hope I will install it without problems.

Ok. I have now 2.0.1 inside... It is great. I only have problem with latency and crackling in the sound (via USB). I have to put very long latency to have sound without crackling. My soundcard (soundblaster audigy) is without problem. And also why ASIO drivers dont see my 11R?

Might want to try a different USB cable, the included one is crap and had all kinds of problems.

Solved. I installed ASIO driver. It is totally without latency, nice sound.
Only one thing ( i didnt try it yet), I think there is no mono inputs and outputs. Only stereo.
And what is Multichanel outputs and inputs there?
