Hi all. I have had my Eleven Rack since 2011 and I still love the unit. I just started thinking of reamping to get better bass tones when recording and would love some help with my routing.

How do you route your DI track from Reaper to the Eleven Rack and back?
I am doing everything digitally through USB.

I am working on a mac (os 10.9.5) and have reaper 4.74 and the way I get it to track/reamp is as follows:

0. Set the 11r as your interface
1. Have a dry guitar (or bass) track recorded from input 1 (guitar input), we will call that Trk1.
2. On Trk1 click on the 'I/O' button that is next to the track name and select the 'Add new hardware output' -> 'Output 3' (or 3 and 4 if it is a stereo track), my output 3 is called 'ReAmp L'.
3. Hold down the 'Edit/Back' button on the 11r and select 'Rig Input'. Switch it to 'Re-Amp'.
4. Make a new stereo track (Trk2) in reaper and set its input to 'Input 3 + 4', on mine it is called 'Eleven Rig L + Eleven Rig R'. Name Trk2 with the patch selected, record enable and mute Trk2.
5. Make sure Trk1 is NOT record enabled or muted.
6. Press record on reaper, you should hear and see the track being printed.
7. Check the time-alignment of the audio on Trk2 (sometimes mine end up a few milliseconds late, based on my system's performance).
8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 to do multiple different 11r presets.
9. When done, remember to hold down the 'Edit/Back' button on the 11r, select 'Rig Input' and set it back to guitar.

I hope this works for you, post back if you run in to problems.

Just to make it easy to see, the 11r has these Input/Output assignments:

INPUTS (your DAW gets input from these points):
1. Guitar In, 2. Mic In
3. Eleven Rig Left, 4. Eleven Rig Right
5. Digital In Left, 6. Digital In Right
7. Line In Left, 8. Line In Right

OUTPUTS (your DAW sends its out to these points):
1. Main Output Left, 2. Main Output Right
3. ReAmp Left, 4. ReAmp Right
5. Digital Output Left, 6. Digital Output Right

Thank you very much for the information guys. When I click on the I/O button I only get

1.Main out L/ Main out R
1.Main out L
2.Main out R

So I cannot select Output-3 ReAmp L.

any ideas?

Are you sure Reaper is using the 11R as its interface? What you posted is what you'd see if you were using a regular two channel audio card as in/out.. What operating system are you on?

Go to preferences in Reaper
Go to device
In the output range where it shows Main out 1+2 select the drop down button to Main out 2 and select 6 Digital Out R, you'll notice the reamp l+r available there on 3+4.

Now you will have all outputs on the eleven rack available to you.
You can also enable all inputs there too. Good Luck.

I know this is an old thread but it might help somebody doing a search if I post info here.

Virtual Reamping with Reaper (W10) and 11R....

0) Download and Install the drivers for 11R. Plug 11R in via USB. Power up 11R.
1) Install and open up Reaper in Windows.
2) In Reaper, click OPTIONS, PREFERENCES, DEVICE, AUDIO SYSTEM = ASIO and AUDIO DEVICE = Eleven Rack ASIO.

Click (check) to ENABLE INPUTS
FIRST = 1: Guitar In
.Last = 3: Eleven Rig L

OUTPUT RANGE
First = 1: Main Out L
.Last = 2: Main Out R

3) On 11R...

-Press and hold EDIT button
-SCROLL to highlight RIG INPUT
-Press SW1 button
-Turn lighted dial select GUITAR as Rig Input
-Press EDIT button
-SCROLL to select DIGITAL OUTPUT
-Press SW1 button
-Use lighted dial to select DAW as Output

4) Press Edit/BACK button twice to return to Rig View.
Use SCROLL to select the rig you want to hear as you play.

5) In Reaper click on TRACK, INSERT NEW TRACK, Click on the red 'o' to arm the track for recording. It should show Input 1 within track..if not Click on it and select Input 1. This will be your DRY guitar track (NO amp modeling or fx) Click on M to mute this track so you won't hear it while you play. Later, you will use this dry guitar track to virtual reamp.

6) In Reaper click on TRACK, INSERT NEW TRACK, Click on the red 'o' to arm the track for recording. It should show Input 3 within track..if not Click on it and select Input 3. This will be your WET guitar track (WITH amp modeling and fx). This is what you will hear while you play and record.

7) In Reaper press the large red 'o' button to record and play some guitar. Once you have recorded something, press the STOP icon and press the BACK icon. Press the red 'o' button on both tracks to UNarm them.

8) 11R Press and hold the EDIT button. SCROLL to select RIG INPUT and press SW1 button. Turn the lighted dial to select RE-AMP. Press the Edit/BACK button twice. Now SCROLL to select a different amp model and fx rig. This is the sound you are going to use to REAMP the DRY track.

9) In reaper Track 1 click on M to UNMUTE track.
Track 2 click on M to Mute the track.

10) In Reaper click on TRACK, INSERT NEW TRACK, Click on the red 'o' to arm the track for recording.

11) In Reaper click on OPTIONS, PREFERENCES, DEVICE
and select
FIRST = 3: Eleven Rig L
.Last = 4: Eleven Rig R

OUTPUT RANGE
First = 3: Reamp L
.Last = 4: Reamp R

12) Click on the INPUT arrow within the track to select STEREO if you want stereo.

13) Now press the big red 'o' button to record your reamped track.

Once you are finished recording press the STOP icon then the REWIND icon. Press the the M button within Track 1 to mute it.

Now press the PLAY icon to listen to the reamped track you just recorded. You will probably notice that the levels are really hot as I did. I'm a novice at reamping (virtual or otherwise). I suspect that given more time I'll learn how to get the levels right.

Since the 11R has a MIC input, this could also be used to reamp with a real amp.
