Hey my Orange peeps....Sup?

I've completed a killer new Carvin Gold Top CS Demo & I even brought in my mentor & Hero Mr Neil Zaza to kick things off.

ALL the tones are the Eleven Rack & I go for broke on this one!!!!!

I was contacted by Carvin & they just love this thing too!

I hope all's well here & I still check in & read the threads & listen to the music samples on a daily basis!!!!!

ETA-I'm gonna order a Super Strat style Carvin one of these years with that ridiculous dragon flame looking quilt top and curly birdseye fingerboard.

I love those pickups, nice split tones. Totally under rated instruments.

I'm actually recording with a producer now & some hired guns (Bass & Drums) too! I'll let you know when it's all finished & the 1st single is going on i-tunes 1st & I may do a kickstarter campaign to offest some of the cost.

I have only had a few weeks to work the Floyd into my style & at first it was pretty rough actually.

I'm an EVH fan as well as a Zaza fan & I'm finding my sound here now. It's changing my playing I believe for the better too. Time will tell & I appreciate all of the comments guyz!!!!

Neils a great guy. We were pretty good friends back in the early 90s. and played gigs together. I bought a jackson from him back in 88 and still have it.

Blown away by this one! Nice playing, and love the whammy on an LP style guitar.

WOW dude, these tones are GREAT. I think I used to have those pups on my Carvin back in the day but had a solid state, Line 6 Flextone II, and a J-Station so had no idea what they were capable of. The split sound was my fav when I had it, but all these sounds work for me.

These C22 pickups are just great & very user friendly for me.......There are lots of different tone combonations to be had for sure!

I had a Line-6 Vetta that I thought just ROCKED, but what do I know about tone???

I know I'll be able to sell at least a good 5 to 9 CD's based on my hardcore fan base!!!!!

The Eleven Rack is sounding good & I will still be using it on the 1st tune, along with real amps too. I'm doing this the right way & paying people w/ way more talent than myself to get it done right. Once I complete this 1st tune I'll understand what it takes for me to get it to a commercially Pro level.

I've heard the end results of all the different modelers out there & the Eleven Rack still stands VERY tall in the mix! Plus it still feels SO great when playing it live too!

i have to tell ya X....you got me putting the old wang bar back on my guitar for the first time in 20 years or so. i have to mention again how inspiring your tremolo playing is to me. very few people develop any technique with the thing, and you have carved your own thing out (in my mind at least).

At first I did some of the standard dive bombs & got that out of my system!!!! Lol

Then I thought about guys like Brad Gillis & Vito Bratta......I think the fact that it stays in-tune no matter what you throw at it really helps too. Mine is set floating & I can pull it sharp too!

Resting my hand on it doesn't effect my rhythm playing or make it go sharp either.

I feel it really adds a lot more choices & sounds to my style too. A full new song is also in the works here to. I want to see what I can do next in the context of melodic song next.

I think anything that you can use for inspiration is a good thing!

Here is a cool floating whammy trick that Oz was doing back in the early 80's he was the first I ever heard do it. basically pushing down and letting it go to get the effect. starts @ 1:48

that whammy trick was first done by Brad Gillis as far as i know.

i saw him do that trick back in 1982 when he played with Ozzy.

I think they call that trick the 'flutter.'

I don't know what specifically allows a tremolo system to do that, but not all of them are set up to allow it.

I have an Ibanez that does it really well; I just don't play it much. And surprisingly my Strat which doesn't even have a locking nut will also.

I'm like singtall in that I dismantled the tremolos from my guitars decades ago since I felt it had been overdone, and can be an easy crutch. However, I've heard things too that have me rethinking that.

My favorite example of musical tremolo playing is Alan Murphy's solo in Silent Running by Mike + the Mechanics.

i used to have my jackson set up with 2 springs in a v. fluttered like a mofo when i wanted it too.
