For guitars, I can't quite explain why, I've just always gravitated to GHS.

I bought a 5 string bass a couple of years ago that came with Elixirs and they still sound full and punchy.

Guys Thanks for all the suggestions. I will be stopping by my music store later this week. Trying Ernie ball for sure because I have them on my Acoustic and I like them. Because a couple of my friends use Elixirs and have suggested them I will give them a try. Has anyone ever used "No Name Strings"? I forgot they gave me a free set at the music store when I bought the guitar. Not sure there worth the time to install.
