That's what I love about the GCP. I use it on 4 presets/bank mode so I have 8 instant access buttons to control effects/tuner/ turn wah on and off.

But if that is not an issue, and you like the exp pedals on the FCB, it works like charm.

I think all that is covered with my hd500... A second hand unit would be a good alternative cost wise?

I´m also using the Behringer FCB1010 with EurekaProm. It's not perfect, but, it was awfully cheap and having the 2 expression pedals on board was the clincher. With the money saved I was able to purchase a MIDI keyboard smile

I broke down and ordered the v2.0 chip from Eureka, should have it next week. The effects and favorite preset combo mode sounds perfect.

I used my Vox Tonelab SE this past weekend as a midi controller and it worked really well. The 2 expression pedals are a plus.

i use the midi mate, it works great and no bulky.Although, the ground control pro is better "set up" for the 11R. The number of assignable foot switches make more sense. you have 8 different effect parameters to turn of and on in controller mode and you have the eight buttons on the ground control pro, in addition to 4 preset changes.

I use the Keith McMillan Instruments SoftStep. It's not exactly cheap, but it is very good. Well made, strong, light and small.

You don't have to choose a setup of either Program Change or Control Change (stompbox) mode. A touch of a button allows you to toggle between those two modes. You can also have multiple layouts stored on the unit... one for your 11R, another for your Axe FX, etc...

I use the Voodoo Labs Ground Control pro also. I love it. It's the best controller you can buy!

I've been using the MIDI Mate and it works nicely for me.
