I know isn't it awesome X? I was so thrilled when I connected my 11r this way.I was destined to use both amp head/cab and 11r live. And you are "marrying" 2 great pieces of gear, something about the tube head just pushing the 11r tone to blissful tone baby!!!! Enjoy, I use this set up live and again love it!!!

Lol.....Yea, at first it seemed silly to use my head as a power amp only, but the tones I'm getting out of the 11R w/ this Head/Cab combo are just wicked!!!!!

So rather than go direct to the PA, you're using the power section of your amp, with the cab and micing the cab? or do you still send a direct feed to the pa (without cab sims?)

I have been miking cab, since I want my whole rig minus cab emulation coming from cab on stage. I could set the output to amp to "Amp Output" but again I wont have any effects (delay, reverb)present on stage since these effects are after the amp usually in my rigs..It would be great if you could have the main outs sending full rig to PA AND have output to amp set to rig out/no cab. This way I would not have to mic my cab..But it still sounds great since Im using great mic,(Sennheiser 409). As soon as you set an output to amp to rig out/no cab your mains will not have cab emu. as well. One of the few things I would change on the 11r.

I'm been thinking about getting a HD 500 is well since I already have the speakers and it looks like it would be quite good.

So I got the velocity... it's weak. Tone is fine but I will never be able to hear it over our drummer.

So I'm going to run it into the PA, and since I have 6 monitor sends I'm going to use one just for my guitar. put a wedge in front of me and I'll be good to go. I have a 15" mackie thump I'm not using for anything else so I was thinking of using that, but it might have a bit too much low end. I'll let y'all know after I give it a try.
