On the Soldano SLO 100 Drive.. does anyone know exactly WHICH mod would be the one modeled?.. Michael offered a few different mods.. the "deep switch".. the "Warren Haynes mod", etc..

no mods on the factory preset. it is a clone of the drive channel that is stock on the old slo 100. it is bright like the original. the warren mod was used to darken the amp and tame the high end bite. the can be done with the eq on the eleven rack to filter off the highs and result in the same effect

the stock amp has a "brite" bypass cap soldered to the drive channel's gain pot. The mod is simply to remove that cap. This makes the overdrive channel more useable at lower settings of the gain knob, where that cap can make the tone too bright

Okay.. that makes sense now.. thanks!
I don't remember there being a "mod" switch on the old SLOs stock... then again.. there's a good bit of the late 80s late 90s I don't remember,,

lol. I know.. good thing I owned one or I would not have known either.

those mods were done at the factory and had to be asked about when ordered or either sent back to them to get it done.

if you haven't tried any of singtalls amp mods get them now. they are great and really get ya in the old modded head feel. the splawns he did are great as well as the jcm800 mod that gets a great slo100 feel

I know that he is taking donations since he cant work and the amp mods and all the presets are truly worth a couple of bucks. there is a ton of stuff in there plus the modded heads are great sounding.

DC Modern SOD is now my favorite amp sim. One of the member on the forum has recently posted a pdf file with the pics of all the actual amps modelled after. For the DC Modern SOD amp sim, it shows the Soldano SLO100 head, maybe a hot-modded version of the Soldano.

If I remember correctly, the Chimp over on the DUC forums (he works for Avid on the 11Rack) said that the DC Modern SOD was it's own beast, but it was kind of a hybrid loosely based off of the Marshall JCM100 and the Soldano SLO100.
When the Expansion pack first came out, the DC Modern SOD was an instant favorite of mine too. I even did this quick little demo of it that same day....

Hey Mike!

A couple of my students and myself are big fans of your Rust In Peace Soldano rig.
