Hey guys......

So I've been working on different mini-songs that showcase the tones of different Rigs that you can get here for FREE........

ALL of these Rigs are unaltered by me & 100% the way that they should sound when you download them........

I will give a nod to each creator & let you know any thoughts about the tones & recording process & pickups etc..etc...etc.........

The point is to give you a quick sample of what a Rig might sound like before you download it.........This will be a work in progress over time......

I've done Rig Samples from Jason, Singtall, MRJ & now I'm working on some RoT (Corey) tone samples as well......

dat don't sound like no Soldano....it's heavier! i would have thought that was a Mesa MKII.

It reminded me of a rig that I posted a while back called "Mike's Main Gain", and that one was made off of the Vintage Treadplate.

It is funny to me how much an Amp Tone can effect the way I write a Tune/Riff & or Progression.....

THIS Rig took me to a dark and Evil place!!!!!!

& Mike....It did kind of remind of that Rig you created with the Treadplate too....I used that bad boy (Rig) for my "Cult of Personality" video/soundclip/X-TV extravaganza!!!!!! FWIW

All of these just tones just help to remind me that this Orange BOX is more than awesome!!!!! You just need to play it!!!!

If I record a song with a Rig I like to rename it to what I used it for......That way it means something to me later.....Most times I have no clue where things started or ended up.....because I just don't care about that stuff......But.....If I know I will give credit & always have.....Here's the KILLER Rig that KILLER player Jason Phelps created & I don't believe that I changed a thing with it either......I'm think I'm much more of a PLEXI gut than I realized.....So thx JP!!!!!!

Yeah yours, Singtall's & Jason's clips remind me how good the 11R sounded. Was a great interface too. Back to a POD & software sims for now but keeping an ear out.

That backwards solo thing you did translated to some great sounds & phrasing, btw.

Funny how my favorites are always one guy playing through another guy's preset. Always worked that way for me too, when all was said & done I'd find someone else's preset and get to where I wanted from there and there was a preset someone really liked lately (I think my Satch lead one?)

There are so many excellent players here posting amazing clips recorded with Eleven Racks. My head is like, spinning in circles every day. This is the coolest guitar community I've found in all my Internet travels. Well... there was one really cool Flamenco guitar forum I was on years ago, but it closed. Long live ElevenRackPresets!

which one? Foroflamenco? I was on that too long time ago - I remeber some French guy used to transcribe very accurate pieces by Gerardo Nunez and Tomatito. Love those players but the electric guitar is where my heart is I guess

No, it was ToddK's Superdeluxe Guitar forum which was actually started by a guy who got fed up with the bickering on ForoFlamenco and started his own. So, it was kind of a ForoFlamenco derivative. Eventually it just kinda fizzled out but I still follow a lot of those guys on YouTube. Especially Todd, he is a phenomenal musician all around.

And apologies for the thread derailment. Let's please get back to Professor X's most Xcellent rig examples. I love every one of 'em pal. I like how you get creative with each rig and showcase it accordingly. I want to record and upload some of my own compositions as well, soon. You've really inspired me to do that. Keep on bringin' it mang!

As always I have to be honest and say that the Plexi rig was just an experiment that turned out really well! I applied some of the ideas in the Singtall Krunch patch to the Variac Plexi model and poof! Opened a big ol' can of brown sound. I'll definitely use what I've learned to try more rigs, but for now I'm like a kid who found his big brother's power tools in the garage.

I really want an old Dumble Overdrive rig. I'll try to tackle that next. Prolly use the Twin model for a base since that's what the first Dumbles pretty much were.

Just catching up on lots of posts since getting back from Oz - killer work here son!

For me, it REALLY seems our orange boxes are hitting the prime of their 'life' - everyone is coming up with awesome and inspiring tones and licks. 2013 could really be the year we crack this box wide open with our ears, hands and the Elevenhack to get things cooking all over the world!

Now, just to re-string all my axes for a day long play sesh...

100% agreed. I've been fooling around with this for a week or so on my gretch and absolutely love this preset. Nailed it.

Blew me away. I had no idea Saturator X was a preset when I heard on Soundcloud. I was thinking you got some new gear.

The stuff you guys are doing is essentially what the ERXP & Axe FX firmware is all about. You got tone matching, artist rigs, live presets, etc. It might not be the "Update 3.7: Satch rig with new pedals & effects added" but you took what was there and got to the SAME thing.

This preset for me, hit the nail top to bottom. Everything I was always looking to get out of the Eleven Rack to get to that Satch sound was accomplished.

The 11R still shocks me once & a while......I've been going over new Rigs that I'm making for a new project & this on's a keeper......

Here's my new "Spank it X" Rig that I've been working on.... This one is Cranky inspired from tap to bottom!

The 1st tapped part has delay & Reveb on while the double stop line only has reverb on......but it's the same Spank it Rig in the end.....

I'm finishing up more audio for this & then trying some re-amping with a few other new Rigs I've been working on too...........

I'll post this one and the others as soon as I'm finished this weekend.....

PS - I think I'll re-amp the intro tapping part with no reverb at all & just a little delay to bring it out & up front in the mix.....I'm pretty happy with the double stop part & tone though.....

So I did a real quick Rig Sample of the "Gravity Storm" Rig......& it came out pretty cool!!!!!

I didn't have time to mix it so it's a little off.......but you'll get the general vibe of this Rig & what it sounds like......

You are hearing the G.S. Rig unaltered by me in any way......I'm just turning on/off the different FX.....& that's all............

It starts off with the Left side being the G.S. Rig with no distortion pedal & only the reverb that was assigned.....& it's almost nothing at all really......

The right side has the distortion pedal enganged along with the slight reverb.......

The solo is the FULL G.S. Rig with the Dist, Delay & reverb on........I think I mixed the lead too low because it sounds HUGE through my studio monitors at home......I might re-mix tonight later.....

I just have to say that while I'm just loving my new tube amp right now (video to follow).....It's so difficult to capture what it really sounds like in Pro-tools! The good tones that I have captured are all done at VERY LOUD volumes & have to be done when my house is empty.

I'm getting it, but it's just SO easy to record at low volumes direct w/ the Eleven Rack!!! I also still perfer the Eleven Rack recorded tones in the end too!!!! It really is THAT good!!!!!

I have even more appreciation for this cool Orange box than ever before (& I always loved it)!!!!!!

I'm going to do another run of all new 11-R Rig samples too........So if you want to hear a specific Rig let me know & I'll try to add it to my list.....

Taking a small break from the 11-Rack & then getting back into it has really opened my eyes to just how GREAT this thing is at capturing recorded guitar tones.....Cut, Print, awesome!!!!!

I'd love to hear more clips using sounds better suited to blues, country, etc. The 11R metal stuff, which is almost all you can find on YouTube (and there isn't much of that, even), is all well and good but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

Ok.....Here's 2-more 11-Rack Rigs from the User section.......

The backing rig is the 11R Rig titled "JJLPS Treadplate" & I turned all the FX (Delay, Reverb) off............

The lead solo rig is the 11R Rig titled "Frank Marino" & I'm using my neck pickup for the first 3/4 of the solo......at the very end I switch to the bridge pickup........This Rig has the noise gate on & I had to really shake the strings to keep the notes from dying out.......but still great tones & lots "O" FUN!!!!!

Sounds very good - it sounds like a VH inspired riff, played through a rig somewhat emulating Ratt's Lay it Down. Am I close?

I was trying to get the tone & feel of the tune "Lola Montez" from Volbeat & this took a totally different turn.
