Wow, that is really cool. Yeah, it looks rough right now, but this is some incredible progress and you can always let somebody else worry about making it pretty. Hell, I'd use it if the interface looked like that to be honest.

Well Ive finished my TFX to TXT (or XML, HTML ) app ( I think ) Maybe just a few little tweaks here and there. It has full search capabilities so if you want to list all the 85 M-2 Lead amps for example you can. Not sure if this will be of any use to you guys but it was an interesting project. If you dont have Protools installed it could certainly be useful. Maybe a web based search engine in the near future. The format is like this:

Code:

Pretty simple stuff but I think you could replicate a rig based on this information. Not as easy as pressing a button that uploads the file to the 11R but its a start.

This is VERY VERY VERY cool. Even to be able to load and save rigs without PT would be amazing.

Plus, being able to see the entire rig layout, even via TXT is cool also - no problem to dial those values in manually.

Keep up the sterling work for all involved - Orange OBE!!

Very nice stuff Gerry! Well done, you finished documenting the tfx file format! I did most of it myself but did not finish yet... switched to work on USB.
Could you make sense of the 4 bytes after the 04 04 04 04 in the header? I think that it is a checksum, already try classical algorithms but no success yet...

I MADE IT!

I cracked the USB bulk upload!!!
My first uploaded rig is the Mesa B Mark IV, happily displayed by the 11R and send to the device WITHOUT PRO TOOLS !

The rig is not saved yet on the device, just uploaded, you still have to press the save button, but I will try to implement it tonight.

After more that 100 hours at looking at streams of 0 and 1.... I feel relieved that it works!

Well, I am still very far from something usable and stable (sometimes, it does not init properly), and I am far from anderstanding the whole protocol, but it is a major step!
