I noticed today if you set your outputs "To Amp 1" and "To Amp 2" to 12, there's even more resonation lol. You can get a killer muted chugging sound. This works without actually going out to an amp so to me it is sort of a mod. Dare say "More Kemper Like" this way?

To enable resonation, hold Edit and go to "Outputs to Amp" hit select and push SW2 to light up "RESO." At that point, there's a little bit of resonation, it will feel different, sound a little different. If you plug a cable into your front amp out, it will resonate more. If you turn up your outputs to both amp outs it will resonate even MORE lol. I haven't plugged a cable in the rear amp out to try it yet but I like to be able to just pull the cable and turn it off for some sounds but if you like metal and more of a tubey power amp sound feel it can really make a huge difference. I usually do use the resonation for almost everything because it just makes it more tubey feeling and sounding and I like it. It could also be the solution to those of you running through power amps & cabs to get your sounds but you can get the sound for direct recording with this little trick too.

I've been running a tube overdrive for feel and have been shutting it off and deciding the feel of the resonation engine is better and so tube like I had to just plug directly into the Eleven Rack because I kept thinking my tube OD was on lol

Is anyone else doing this? I've forgotten to try this - just curious of anyone else's thoughts here.

... I do need to try it myself, I know... but I also need to go back to the original thread to see how to do it!!! LOL!!!

I sort of "re-explained" it here. I like this new find mostly for riffing, it's almost too much for soloing but I haven't really worked out any changes in presets just noticed a few where I bumped the amp outs or had someone's preset that used them or something and wondered why some of them felt different then thought I'd A/B the difference.

What it does to me is make the pick attack thicker & add a little air, I have always felt on higher strings the pick attack was missing and was always a bit thin sounding without cranking the speaker breakup or something. The speaker breakup is a little too fast and it makes it last longer so it sounds more like it should IMO. Almost feels more like the amp is nearby that way instead of in an isolated recording room.

Probably if you don't turn it all the way to 12, you can control the amount to get it just right...maybe that's what it's designed to do. All 12dBs was the sure fire way to tell if it did anything.

I actually use the Output To Amp 1 on the front of the 11R when I'm at home - so I really just need to go in and select the RESO option? Is that global? Based on the menu it's in it seems like it is.

I have my "Output To Amp" set at "Rig Output" so RESO is not an option for me to select. RESO is only available if I chose "Amp Output" or "Rig Output No Cab". Since I play direct I want my output to always be the full rig.

It works with everything. I mean, once I light up "RESO" I can scroll around to every possible setting and it's still there, lit up. You can't do it in the GUI, you have to do it from the Eleven Rack. I record direct Full Rig with it. That's what I'm trying to get accross it it should work for direct recording no matter what.

I will have to test it, but I record direct and just light up "RESO." It just so happens the outputs are set up to Amp Output...but it doesn't make a difference I still record my Full Rig sound regardless.

I also have my User Options: Knob Display/Action set to "Display:Value" "Action:Normal" just so I can see my exact settings on the Eleven Rack better, but it looks like no matter what, you will see the two outputs to amp and can turn them to 12 or whatever regardless of what you decide to use.

In the manual, it says you will hear it no matter what just by enabling it but it definitely resonates more with a cable in the amp out. Some here have said just lighting up "RESO" makes a good enough difference for them. You should be able to turn it on and check it out no matter what. I just like the options. The manual says it relies on the cab so you would have to have your cab on full rig anyway I think.
