FCB1010 simple control

I have an FCB1010 I bought used some time ago that actually came with a Eureka 1.0 prom. The thing is absolutely Byzantine. I despise it. It almost tries to be able to program C++ from the foot pedal. The FP mode is close to what I want but of course it isn't the power up default, and it's easy to get out of the mode because the up down pedals take you out of it.

If I want to change my footswitch behavior I will reconfigure it by some no other interface.

Is the an alternative prom? Way to lock it to FP mode?
