Hate It

I really hate that this board is dwindling. This is such a great community. Is there a way to reformat this site and forum to include fractal, bias, helix, et al sections, so that we can keep this community alive?

I hear you Briz. What bothers me the most is that most of the posts are talking about and raving about everything but the Eleven Rack. I am not in any way talking bad about the people posting. What I mean is that Avid hasn’t given Eleven Rack owners anything new and improved to get excited about. Give me an update with some new features like a new expansion pack! I would be more than happy to pay for it! By the way, it’s good to see you back on the forum Briz.

I've seen it with other processors through the years. A once vibrant forum starts to wane as people go to other processors. I am guilty of this myself. My 11R isn't even plugged in any longer. I guess I'm not selling it due to nostalgia.

I have mine right where I want it and don't touch it any more. But I use it exclusively.
Would it be prudent to make a headrush section and get lots of the new peeps in here? Maybe a general discussion section with an 11R wing, sounds wing and a headrush wing?

I use my 11R almost everyday, for guitar and for bass. Nothing to tell except I love it years after years.
I don't think Slash as anything new to say either about its Les Paul ;-)

... Nor will Kemper or AxeFX be trying to emulate a vintage Eleven Rack in 5 years. I love my Eleven Rack as well. I just wish Avid would keep up instead of watching its once dedicated users moving on.

That's the case with any modeler. You're at the mercy of the company and their programmers to add new amps. One of the things that really sold me on the Kemper was that it's basically future-proof. You're not at the mercy of programmers to get new amp models.

BTW, you can profile the 11R patches.

I don't see the point for new amps, I think there's enough in 11R already to get a really good sound. They should add IR loading, GK/Eden bass amps/cabs, couple of pedals (compressor, octaver) and maybe a small mixer for all the inputs to main output.
That box is well done, very simple to use and sounds great.

Is it possible to keep this community, but make the board agnostic to modeler manufacturers? Maybe create a new board that covers the big 4 - Fractal, 11R, Helix & Kemper? That way the board can retain scalability for new products? Just a thought. If I had the time, I'd create the board myself. I'd definitely pitch in what I can to fund such a project. Anyway, if / when this board dies, I'm going to miss you guys. I've always received honest and constructive criticism here. I've learned quite a bit for you guys, too. I wish we could continue with a new forum. Thoughts?

Great idea. A lot of forums have additional areas to post in. Could get more traffic on the Eleven Rack!
