Amp models not "responsive"

Amp models not "responsive" - 03/24/17 05:38 PM

All,

I'm using my 11R as an amp substitute in my apartment. I play through powered speakers.

It appears that the amp controls do not respond as I expect them to. For example, no matter what amp/speaker combination I use, changing the volume and tone controls does not affect the sound. I would have expected the saturation levels to increase with volume increases, but this doesn't happen. If I turn up the powered speakers, the tone does change, but this is not what I need. Similarly, adjusting the bass, middle and treble controls does NOT affect the tone in any way.

Yes, I have RTFM - several times. Is there some kind of adjustment I need to make somewhere to get the amp models to react as I expect them to?

TIA,

Mike

something is wrong with your 11R if you turn the knobs and nothing happens.

unless you have the amp bypassed?

I'm using the software to control the unit from my PC. The knobs work for the effects and in the interface the indicator "lights" are "illuminated" for the amp. Is there another way to bypass the amp?

Is the output set to "Rig Output"?

It wasn't. I changed it and it's much better. Thank you!
