Good info on pickups (I think) has debunked some things I thought were right.

I always thought that getting the pickups as close to the strings as possible was best. There is a lot of info here and I want you guys opinion as well.

I always go by my ears on the pickup height for sound/tone. Then I use a DAW to measure each individual string's volume, then adjust the pickup screw accordingly (if there is one).
