Can't help but think this sounds a lot like the Shrapnel/Becker sound with the Chinese V30 & '77 G12H together. What I have now is a tone that I can really feel when I'm playing that works well during mixing and mastering and shaping. This is all Eleven Rack btw, no Maxon OD or anything. Deleting the other thread bcI was tired and just kinda threw up "New Impulse" lol It's all Ownhammer stuff, nothing I could actually make myself.

i think blending IR's is the answer to most problems we guitarist have. when i had the axe-fx II i discovered using two different cabs for a stereo effect. but better than the stereo effect is the feel i got. your ears never hear the exact same signal in each ear when you play with an amp in the room because the sound bounces off the walls before it hits your ears, and each ear hears something slightly different....and that makes it sound good.

blending 2 or more IR's into a stereo panned final cab is what i like.

another option i hear about is loading a bunch of IR's and mixing them to get one final mono IR. i like the idea, but i prefer a stereo output...even if i end up panning the stereo track in the final mix.

you guys just using pt and creating a new stereo track pulling in a mono track to the left and right then bouncing that track to make your blended ir or is there a faster way?

I just used Recabinet..I actually didn't like it when I panned the IRs, so I kept them in the middle & left the speaker dynamics in the center, which I believe added the Recabinet speaker breakup sound so it is modded a little bit. If I had Pro Tools, I could have played around more, but I didn't get PT with this 11R so had to make the IR, then try it out.

I used Voxengo Deconvolver, imported the test tone and put the cabinets on it then exported that as a wav. After that, just open the test tone and the new wav into Deconvolver and it makes the new IR.

Here's Deconvolver free version w/the test tone. When it says you only get three uses, it just means you have to close the program and open it again.
