Dual Delays - 09/17/14 11:49 AM
Some of the stuff I do, I like to layer delays, namely a dotted eighth and a quarter -sync'd on tempo - to create a nice galloping effect.
I know the 11R only has one delay in a rig, or signal chain. Is there a way to somehow get another delay in to one of the other fx blocks? Or, is hacking the 11R possible to be able to accomplish this?
I have no idea of the inner workings of the 11R...just stretching waaaay out there in hopes of a work-around.
You can use an external delay in the fx loop,or if you're connected to PC you can use a plugin

Addition to original post: I don't want to use an fx loop as that is more equipment I have to carry. I'm tired of lugging around an amp, pedal board, etc. The reason I'm trying to get two delays on the 11R is to minimize my load every week.
I like to run a 350ms and 500ms tape delay one into the other with some slight modulation on the repeats.

Have you tried using the Dyn Delay with the ratio set to something other than 50%? You can have a galloping effect that way, from left to right, or right to left depending on which way you turn it.

Yes, and have gotten close. However, it's just not the same effect I'm getting with layering two delays. I'm open to trying things though!

Thanks...I'm going to give that a go and see how it works. On my layered dual delays on my pedalboard, I can control the tempo on both with a tap.

Pretty sure the FX1/2 blocks can have anything in them. So stick a delay in the delay block, and another in FX1/2.

Can you tell me how you set it up?
Thanks
