JTM45 blues lead presets for ya - 04/21/14 07:22 PM

i just made 8 JTM45 lead presets, and i have to say that amp model is cooler than i remember. very touch sensitive.

i based the first preset off a video of Joe Bonamassa playing a reissue amp, the rest are different cab/mic variations.

try the grey compressor as a boost...way cool sustain.

adding the presets to the superpack/low gain folder now. allow a few minutes to finish uploading.

this is a direct link to only those presets:

thanks guys. this experiment is going to make me go through every amp model and try it with every cab and make a whole bunch of new presets.

What guitar and pickups are you using when creating those rigs?

Re: JTM45 blues lead presets for ya - 04/25/14 07:58 AM

my main purple superstrat with fairly hot PAF type pickups. i need to get another strat with single coils to tweak some more.

i have been trying to make more in-the-room sounding presets lately. it's easy to turn off the post eq and hear it like it's mic'd, so i thought it might be a good idea to make a few presets that way.

Here's my rock crunch rig, should work for blues also. It goes from clean to crunch just by switching neck/bridge pickup or lowering guitar volume (on my Peavey Vandenberg). It should sound nice direct to PA as I added renown Singtall para-eq smile
The JTM45 is really a dynamic amp!!!

It's the least I can do, you have contributed so much!!!
Please try it when you have a chance, that will give me a point of reference for adding new presets based on that amp in the future smile

good balanced sounding preset. i like a little more gain with single coils (i like a little dirt) but my humbucker volume was ok. that's the thing about low gain and clean presets, it's very dependent on the guitar used.

That was the goal of that preset, going from almost clean (neck single coil) to dirt (bridge humbucker) just by switching pickup. As you said, have to adjust depending on guitar.
