ElevenHack 1.1a - 12/30/12 06:48 AM

I just released ElevenHack V1.1a.
It is a bugfix version that should correct the Save TFX problem on certain rigs.

You can download it here: https://sites.google.com/site/elevenhack/

Here is the announce of the 1.1 with all the new features.

---------------------------------------------------------

This is exactly what I had in mind when I started this project. A small software to share the rigs with others.
This version can read and save TFX files, in this sense, it is feature complete.
I hope that it will bring more users to share their rigs!

To Mac users: due to a lacking implementation of the Java Midi interface, the save rig does not work with Apple Java and Oracle Java as well.
So, for the moment, the save feature in deactivated on the mac. A friend of mine is looking at the possiblility to implement a Java Midi Driver compliant with the standard. But is it not simple, still, there is hope that we can solve this problem.

Here are the hilights for this version:
* New Try TFX option to load a TFX rig on your 11R without saving. The rig will effective on the device but not permanently stored. It will not be reflected on ElevenHack's interface, and it will disappear if you switch to an other rig.
* New Save Rig option! Select a rig, select a location, you can change the file name (the default is the internal rig name displayed by the 11R), and voila! You 're done! The name of the rig displayed by the 11R is stored in the file and you can choose a different file name, the internal rig name stays the same (deactivated on the Mac).
* New Rename Rig option. By popular demand, you can now rename a rig on the 11R. It changes the internal name of the rig! You can then save this new name to a TFX file.
* New Tuner switch: Activate the tuner feature on the 11R.
* New Volume Slider: operate the main volume from ElevenHack.

There are some bugfixes as well:
* Fixed the slowdowns when reconnecting.
* File dialogs display a vertical list instead of horizontal (it looks better!).

Special extra thanks to the beta testers for their great job: misfit, MRJSTUDIOS and Str@man!
There was far to many beta and they kept testing with dedication.

I would like also thank the 5 donors for the first version!

Many many thanks for your time and effort to make this Bzer!

I have a MacBook Pro 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 using OS 10.7.5. Am I able to use this version or do I need to wait for a Mac version? If I can use this version, what will I be able do with it. Can I transfer my rigs from the 11r to my Mac to back them up?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the application!
I have a problem though: when I want to change Midi channels on the via Device->Midi menu I can't select Eleven Rack from the menu.
I can choose from 4 options but i don't see 11R listed?

I installed the recent Jave as stated on your website and use Windows 7 ... any idea what can solve this problem?

thanks!

For me, I have to go into Device->Midi (on the ElevenHack menu)

For Input, I choose: 1 - 2-Eleven Rack No details available
For Output, I choose: 5 - 2-Eleven Rack External MIDI Port

Here's a visual of what our friend Jason posted:

Remember the 11R should be turned on and connected by USB before you start the 11H

Hello!
Sadly, the save to tfx feature is disabled on the Mac for the moment. The Java Midi implementation on the mac is incomplete and cannot handle the 11R messages.
A friend of mine is looking at the issue and try to implement a midi driver for java. There is hope but it is tough to implement.

Sorry SloeGin, perhaps you could post a screenshot or listing, of the midi IO ports that your ElevenHack can see?

Sir Bzer, may I make a small request for version 1.1b? Could you implement a load all rigs and save all rigs feature like the PT interface has? It seems to save the patches to one directory with a little xml file that designates what spot each rig should load to. I'm a programmer myself, although it has been 15+ years since I did any Java programming. I can try to spec out that xml file.

I'm just offering the suggestion as possible low hanging fruit. The core functionality is there, it would just need the (xml driven) automation pieces built around it.

Something like this?

You can thank Gerry for that!

I personally think that if Gerry's app had Bzers "midi talk" that this would be it! The sorting function of this is amazing, plus you can even save your folder destination to easily recall presets and work directly out of the app, so you don't have to go back and forth to the computer library.

I know Gerry is able to connect his 11r via midi through this app, but I have had problems with it on my Win 7 64 machine.

Genius!

All I did was open it and look at it but I think I'm in LOVE!
