Ostkin01 new member Registered: 03/07/15 Posts: 3	Hi guys, just got the 11R. I heard you can download presets, but do you need pro tools and the installed driver for that? Or can presets be adjusted manually?

strattman76 advanced member Registered: 02/21/14 Posts: 71 Loc: indianapolis, indiana	You do not need protools to download presets. You do however need t get the standalone editor. Standalone editor is available on Avids web page. You do need the proper eleven rack drivers to run on you machine( also availible at avids page). Presets can definitely be adjusted manually without the editor. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Ostkin01 new member Registered: 03/07/15 Posts: 3	Important! My unit is connected digitally via AES output to my interface, does this mean I cannot download used presets with this setup and that presets can only be used as standalone editor? Do I have to connect it via USB for that?

Yes the driver communicates between your hardware(11rack), and your software(daw, 11rack editor). Not sure about the AES output. either way you have it connected I would think you would still need 11rack drivers. Some one with more experience on this will chime in I'm sure.
