Wrote these riffs on the fly- and you can tell because it's kind of disjointed and has sloppy imperfections ...but not enough samples up here so here you go.

The first half is agrressive, tweaked a bit with an 11R OD boost set to only a sliver of gain. Rhythms extreme L & R set to the mid cut on the Mark X; the "lead" during the chorus at 1:02 the mids are pumped back up. I particulary like the way the rhythms sound in the chorus, bigger chords that are aggressive yet retain strong clarity- a real strength of the Mark X.

I was hoping to go Santana throughout the whole tune, but my chops and note selection were not up to par.

The 2nd half at 1:27 is the gentler side of Mark X

Really sounds cool. That transcoding I think is killing some of the sizzle but I like it. I was talking to someone about the old Guitar War days when we had to upload stuff over dial up and use bit rates 1/10 of that. 128kbps was a HUGE LEAP, but now it it's hard to go back. BUT, when I was talking with my friend from GW he reminded me about how we used to EQ the highs all crazy so that the encoding wouldn't do that. They even had a plugin that did this for you.

Anyway, nice job. Looking forward to trading some presets some day with people as I get the MTS and other preamps (hopefully).

It is funny, I love all kinds of non-metal music- Grateful Dead, Phish, Keb Mo, Michael Hedges, Ani, Jimi...I like pretty much any genre too- if it's played well, I usually can groove as a music listener. But when it comes time to create my own tracks, I don't think and just play-- and this angry hi gain stuff has been flying out of me, lol. Too many years in bands that suppressed my Inner Metal. However, I may make an effort to tame it up on a few tracks... I'm seeing the Foo Fighters tomorrow (yea!), so that should inspire me to write some friendlier stuff

When someone (aka you or anyone) posts an original piece of music like this.....I just listen & soak it up.......This is so much better then matching a tone of a record perfect & all that blah....blah...blah......Were there a few small things that you pointed out that were not the way you wanted them yet? Sure......

But did the music move me & was it cool & interesting? Ah......Hell yea........This thread & tune makes this forum go round.......So thanks for this......We ALL thank you for this.....
