Hi All,
Has anyone been able to get the instruments in the audio suite section. I want to connect my synth and use the vacuum virtual instrument. Digidesign advertised that 5 virtual instruments come with Pro Tools 8 LE.

Cheers

Edit: Sorry, I thought you were referring to Velvet, which is part of the optional instrument expansion pack. Vacuum was included with my PT8LE and works fine with a MIDI controller.

i dont even have the instruments section in the audio suite. do you have to have a midi plugged in for the instrument section to be visible? any suggestions? anything to do with the fact that the authorization for heat and xpand pops up at strat up of PT8LE?

thanks

They do not load up automatically when you install PT at least they did not on my Mac. I had to go on to the intallation disk and intall them one at a time. Once you do that, they should be there and you do not need a Midi hooked up to see them, at least i don;t think you do.

Very valuable info!

I use the Oxygen25, mostly just for transport controls (which are made exactly the same as the Digidesign hardware control surface w/dedicated transport controls and track up/down buttons) and the mini grand. Works flawlessly and pretty cheap for what it does.
