i need a midi pedal for my 11R and is was torn between the Behringer (plus uno chip) or an ART X-15.

the x-15 has some cool setup software that looks like it would be easy to use. http://www.x15setup.com/english.htm

any thoughts?

If you want really easy to use, Tech 21 MIDI Mouse.

That's what I use and it works perfectly.

Then I would go for the Behringer FCB1010, you can get most people to send you they sysex file and then tweak it using one of the PC based programs available, its very easy. I find the actual pedal board one of the best to use in a gigging environment, large foot pedals arranged properly and 2 expression pedals on the right side - literally.....

If you guys don't mind filling me in...I would love a lesson in using midi for guitars. I use it for recording with my keyboard, but what can I do, or how will it help me with guitar? I've seen the Variax, and I get that cuz that is a midi controller, what midi info is the expression pedal controlling?

i had the x-15 about 12 years ago and i didn't mind the pedals on the left since i actually use my left foot to control wah and volume.

i had the behringer pedal about 6 years ago and the programming was VERY hard. i sold it within 2 months of fighting with it.

you are right though, if i can get someone to send me their behringer sysex file it would make the whole deal painless....except installing the uno chip.

Ya know what singtall, I've been after a floor controller too, and I have wondered about getting the IK Stealthboard...

BUT....

I am going to wait for the NAMM show to see if BY CHANCE Avid is releasing a dedicated floor controller for the 11R! I'm sure that it's probably just a pipe dream, but ya never know? confused wink
