I've gone back to using cable for now just cause I'm on my "you're becoming an official old fart" tour lol.. but the last few wireless gigs were with the little Line 6 digital unit that just sits on your pedalboard like a stomp box .. no issues or drop outs and it was as transparent as I could ask for.. bang for the buck, imo is great!
I go all the way back to a Nady vhf style wireless pack back when I was 17 in like 88.. they've come a long way lol.

Do wireless systems take into account the capacitance effect that cables have (does it end up being too bright or noticeably different plugging in to wireless from cable)? I have always wondered this..

I've have heard that the Line 6 Relay G55 is really good. It has been on my radar to check out...it has what they call "Cable Tone" technology that simulates using a 25' cable...

Looks nice. I have the Line 6 G30 Relay. Works good but eats up those double A" batteries.

Shure GLX-D.

Rechargeable Li-Po battery, last about 14 hours, digital, no tone change, 200ft range.

Love it.

Shure GLX-D. Can't tell the difference between a guitar cable. Range seems good. I'm never more than 40 feet from the receiver though. Did run into an issue with the transmitter where the input for the cable they provide was loose. I sent it in under warranty and it's fine now.

Line 6 Relay G50 is what I have been using for the past couple years and it has exactly what you are asking
about and was explained to me that some folks really are conscience about the cable type and length. I cant tell the any difference but that don't mean it don't work, my ear is not that discriminating. it works always and the batteries last quite a wile. Never had any drop outs or interference.
