Only ONE that ProTools will recognize.

I have two 11R and I HAVE used analog out of one to line in on the one connected to Pro Tools and used it that way. FYI But that is kind of convoluted.

lol I may have to rename the software..
cheezy tools....
I would think you could rename one of the units to 1 and 2
and then I/o up to what ever the pc could handle...
so is this why they have the HD interface to get the extra I/o ports??
I guess my back up plan to use the r24 zoom's as the I/o will have to do...

I was planning on tracking live direct in to pro tools as raw feed for later effects and magic....

I was hoping for at least 3) 11 racks..
one bass, 2 guitars.....

ty for the reply bob

How much I/O do you want? 11R is a 6 in 5 out interface. You can use all the I/O simultaneously. The Caveat is that only ONE input can be processed through your "rig" at a time. In other words only one input can go through your preset. The rest of the input will be routed right to Pro Tools or whatever.

While HD gives you a higher track count than native, BUT you can get up to 32 simultaneous inputs with native, using almost anyone's hardware.

For live shows we use a line 6 M20d digital touch screen mixer

and it can record 18 tracks at once individually and all at 24/48, later I take those track files and drop them into PT11 and do what ever I want with them. the price has dropped some on it lately and it is still IMHO the best live mixer for any who needs 18 channels or less... the sound quality is stellar and with the line 6 link and some stagesource speakers it is phenomenal..
