in this days i went trough extensive testing of quite all the plugins out there,including acmebargig headcase,grig5,amplitube3,revalver4,all the lepou,allthe ignite,all the free stuff you can find out there,everything you can imagine (except shuffman sgear,in wich i put some hope),including all my beloved ios apps and everything again...
well,after each test i come back to my fellow 11r and i do an a/b test....theres no way out, not 1 of the plugins i tried have the richness,the fullness,the body,the dinamic,the responsiveness(do this word exist?) the liveness (again exist?),the tridimensionality and most of all the poweramp cranking feel and sound i can find in the 11r...nothing to do,the basic amp tone is there,and everyone who says this unit doesnt sound fantastic,have a problem for sure.
after all i think i can cover all my playing with just 2 patch and my fellow volume knob.
the rant in the end : should avid be damned till the sun burns for not further developing this great machine...
p.s the only things i couldnt compare are the axefx and the kemper,wich maybe are the developement that avid havent done.
