HardAttack advanced member Registered: 02/25/10 Posts: 67	I just thought I would share with those who were fans of his work, and that may not have heard. Jim Marshall passed away today (4/5/12), at the young age of 88! What a legacy he has left behind.

You can bash Marshall for some of their later stuff, but in terms of sheer icons, classic and modern tones, and what he did to compliment the electric guitar - the man is a genius. RIP Jim. RIP to all of them. Since so many amps were based on Fender amps (including Marshall, Mesa, and a few others), and just about every electric guitar out there is a derivative of a Tele, Strat, or Gibson design, I wonder what music would sound like today if not for those four men.
